Gymnastics is a sport that involves several parts. For girls/women, it includes the Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Vault and Floor Exercise. For boys/men, it includes Parallel Bars, High Bar, Pommel Horse, as well as Vault, Floor and Rings. It can be done for fun and exercise, or at a competitive level. Cheer Factory/Delaware Valley Gymnastics Center offers both rec classes and a competitive team. Here are a few gymnastics benefits:

USA Gymnastics is the sole national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States. This designation comes from the U.S. Olympic Committee, and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). USA Gymnastics has many responsibilities, including selecting and training the U.S. Gymnastics Teams for Olympic Games and World Championships; promoting and developing gymnastics on a grassroots and national level; and serving as a resource center for member clubs, fans and gymnasts throughout the United States. The organization has programs in men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling and acrobatic gymnastics.
USA Gymnastics is committed to promoting a safe environment for its members, participants, coaches, officials, volunteers and staff in all gymnastics disciplines. As a member with USAG, Cheer Factory All-Stars must agree and comply with the following USAG member requirements:
-Have a policy consistent with USA Gymnastics’ Participant Welfare Policy that affirms your commitment to the welfare of
gymnastics participants in your organization and includes, at minimum, a description of conduct that will not be tolerated, standards of behavior for your staff/volunteers that promote participant welfare, and a process for receiving and handling complaints regarding conduct that violates your policy.
-Not hire or be associated in any way with any person who is permanently ineligible for membership in USA Gymnastics, a list of whom is available at www.usagym.org/ineligible, or any person who is listed on a federal or state sex-offender registry, a search for which may be conducted at www.nsopw.gov.
-Maintain current commercial general liability insurance that includes, at minimum, participant liability and participant accident medical insurances.
-Employ at least one staff member who is 18 years of age or older and holds a current Professional or safety-certified Instructor membership in USA Gymnastics.
(All Cheer Factory coaches are safety certified and over the age of 18).
